Isaiah 40 is one of the most well known passages of the scriptures – yet the reality of grace and the leveling it speaks of, continues to elude most of us in our cultures of competition. We love elevating ‘stars’ and shaming ‘sinners’. God’s heart as Father longs to embrace us all and place us on level ground!
Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. (Isaiah 40:4,5 NIV)
God made a way for that to happen! It’s the ‘Jesus Way’. Among all the religions and philosophies on earth – He is the ‘Only God of Grace!’ Through Him, we can all experience grace that transforms.
